No Mistletoe For Me

Are you single? Are you so single the the idea of even having a sweetheart right now is so out of the picture that it'll be more likely for you to get Ebola? Yeah. Same here. But is it really that bad? No not at all. Sure we don't have any snuggle buddies at the moment but we don't need a guy for that! Right now is the perfect opportunity to pick up a furry four legged friend from your nearest pet shelter. Now that you'll have a pet, your mind will less likely wander over to the thought of being a single pringle. My next reason should not be taken lightly. You don't have to shave. How awesome, right? It's not summer so no one's going to be seeing your legs and without a boyfriend, no one is going to be feeling them either! Kiss whoever you want to kiss under the mistletoe this year, you're not in a relationship so you don't have to be tied down! Live it up!

To the Ball Cinderella!

Okay, so it's not a ball but a holiday party for my work. Anyways, for these events you must look flirty but professional. You want your coworkers knowing that you can dress up very nice and look well, rather dashing. It's hard knowing what to wear and what's appropriate and what's not. So I'm here to help. Think about this, what's your work environment like? Is a suit job, or is it a jean job? Once you know that it gets easier. Where is this party going to be at? Is the venue somewhere other that your building that you work in? If it is, wear a nice simple dress that isn't too casual, more like a semi formal dress. But don't forget, the shoes do make the outfit. If you work at a brewery like I do then it's slightly more difficult to figure out what to wear, and here's why. You don't know if anyone is going to dress up, but you do know it's at the place you work. So here's what I'll be sporting at my holiday party, I'll be wearing a red peasant blouse tucked into a pencil skirt with gray tights and black ankle boots. If you usually straighten your hair curl it or if you curl your hair, straighten it! This is your time to shine. Be weary and don't drink too much egg nogg!

Disappointment around every corner...

I am so bummed. I don't even know how to begin to say how bummed out I am. I wasn't rejected or anything like that so don't you guys fret! I do; however, have horrible timing. The most gorgeous man I have ever seen had gone to a different time for church. I was so looking forward to introducing myself, I put on something cute, did my hair, and swiped my red lipstick on. I was ready for business, only to discover, he wan't even there. Here's what I would've said, hi, my name is Arianna, but You can call me Ari. I see you here all the time, I thought now was a good time to introduce myself. (He would say something here) I would reply with, OH! I have to go to work, but here's my number, let's go out for coffee sometime, my treat! This is the part where he would agree to go and I would leave with a very satisfied smile on my face. Ir was so simple and so well thought our in my head. No fair. I didn't even get the chance to woo him with my adoring charm. I guess there's always next Sunday to try again. Ta ta for now!

Me? A Stalker? Well....

Okay, let's all be honest now. We've all had that one person we can't stop thinking about, right? Whether it's a boy or a girl it's the same effect. Picture this. You see him/her, you stare for a couple of seconds and then snap your head forward in fear that they might catch you looking. So you go for plan B. You look at them without turning your head, hoping and praying that you catch them looking at you instead. Your heart starts fluttering, you get really nervous for no reason, and really happy at the same time, almost giddy even. But for what? It's not like you've even really spoke to them. Snap out of your illusion babe! They can't make the first move (even though you're wishing they would) if they don't know your interested in them. It's like expecting everyone to know it's your birthday if you never even tell anybody. They aren't mind readers sweetie! So currently in my (not so existent) love life there's this guy I'm head over heels for. Have I told  him? No. But will I? Absolutely, and here's why, I have a chance. How do I have a chance? Well, after years and years of self hate and insecurity, I developed a very strong sense of self worth and acceptance. Now when I get rejected, I don't ask myself "what's wrong with me?" I ask myself "what the hell is wrong with him?".Another reason is because you can't expect them to be "THE ONE". That expectation is waaaaaay to high. Someone once told me that you fall in love seven times before you find your soul mate, imagine how much each one hurt after they ended until they got to the very last one. So that's why you don't put all your eggs in one basket, because one day you might trip. Wow, that got depressing real fast....Anyways I am so infatuated with this guy! I can't believe I'm actually going to do this, but I'm going to introduce myself to him tomorrow and see where things go. I will lead by example and do what I say! If I don't screw things up tomorrow I will help you introduce yourself with that hottie stranger with a to do and not to do list of how to make the first move. Wish me luck!

As my first ever official blog, I must begin with a hello. I'm going to tell you a little about myself, just so you can see where I'm coming from. First of all I have everyday struggles of avoiding to the basic bitch life. I wake up and what do I want? I want coffee. But not any coffee will fit my needs, I need a Starbucks double shot caramel latte. Well what's so basic about that, you may say, well I also have an obsession with leggings, Taylor Swift, and cheesy pictures with inspirational quotes. I guess what I'm really trying to say here, is that I'm just like you. Whatever I'm going through, you may be going through too, and I'm here to help the everyday girl. I want you to learn from my mistakes and carry on because believe it or not, you're worth it.

Always with love,
